OAKLAND BRANDING SESSION | EMILY OF CONNECTED EASE
A brand storytelling session with Emily of Connected Ease. We wanted to tell the story of who she is, both as a therapist and as a whole person. Someone approachable for her clients to connect with. Through our concept call we decided to focus on updated portraits, movement and connection to body and how it relates to her somatic approach to therapy, sacred objects, and lifestyle imagery such as walking her pup Fela. She wanted to appear both strong and soft. Visually Emily was drawn to harsh light and shadows, images with movement, and lots of black and white. We wanted to stay away from stereotypically overdone “therapist with a cup of tea photos” (although we did sneak a couple in there). We captured all of these in and around her home where she works in Oakland, CA.
